I first discovered Ben’s Cookies back in 2007 when I was living in London. There was one located adjacent to the train station by my flat. They had the yummiest cookies and I would get one almost daily. On every subsequent trip to London since, Ben’s Cookies is always part of the itinerary. So I was delighted to learn recently that Ben’s opened its first location in the United States in New York City!
We headed to Union Square as soon as we could to pick some up! What sets these cookies apart is they make the cookies with chunks of chocolate (instead of chips). We were worried they might not taste the same as the cookies we grew so fond of in the UK. But since all the dough is made in a kitchen outside of Oxford, then shipped to each store location to be baked fresh throughout the day, we are happy to report that they taste just as good!
Our favorite flavors are the dark chocolate chunk, the triple chocolate chunk, and the milk chocolate peanut butter- but they are all delicious!
If you find yourself in NYC, the UK, or near any of Ben’s other locations soon a stop into Ben’s has to be on your to do list.
