Speaking of Downton Abbey, on Saturday we visited Downton Abbey The Experience here in New York. It is an immersive experience that brings you into the fascinating social history, culture, and some of the most memorable moments from the show’s six-season run. It was really fun to see some of the sets and costume pieces from the show, and to get a little behind the scenes peek into what it took to film this incredibly popular series.

My favorite part of the exhibition were the several wedding dresses on display. The detail that went into all the costumes, but these especially, is insane! I have a degree in fashion design, so I’m a bit nerdy when it comes to costume design.

The first snowfall is always very exciting and brings us back to when we were little kids always hoping for a snow day. We headed right to Central Park, which is just MAGICAL when it’s covered in snow!

We also popped by the Columbus Circle Holiday Market, which was enhanced by the softly falling snow, and were pleasantly surprised to find carolers singing some beautiful Christmas tunes. We didn’t ask, but I’d venture to guess that these ladies were students at nearby Juilliard as they were very good!

What is your favorite holiday activity?

P.S. Because I know you’ll ask, my scarf is from here. It doesn’t look like they make them anymore, but you can contact them for custom orders.
