Happy Monday y’all! We hope you had a fantastic weekend and a wonderful Mother’s Day! So, unless you have been living under a rock, you have heard of this little place here in NYC called Cookie Dō. It has been so popular that some people have waited in line for up to 3 hours just to get a taste of this edible cookie dough.
Cookie Dō’s dough is made with a pasteurized egg product and heat treated ready to eat flour, so everything is safe to eat and there is no risk of food-borne illness.
If you are visiting the store, think of it as an ice cream parlor. You can pick between 1, 2, or 3 scoops of dough in a cup or a cone. They have SO many flavors to choose from, including some seasonal flavors. Our favorites are Gimme S’More, Confetti, Peanut Butter Snickerdoodle, Fluffernutter, and this month’s seasonal flavor Dunkadō0!
The great thing about this dough is that you can eat it raw, but you can also bake it into cookies so you get the best of both worlds!
They also sell some treats in the store that are already baked. Don’t forget to pick up some flavors to go for your midnight snack. 🙂
We had such a fun time over the weekend grabbing some Dō! Shockingly, when we arrived there was no line and we were able to walk right in. We got there shortly after they opened for the day, so perhaps that is why, but we had fully expected to have a wait based on what we’d seen on social media. If you’re planning a trip in the near future, play it safe and budget a wait time into your schedule just in case. But maybe you’ll get lucky like us 🙂
