Hey y’all! Happy Friday! We finally made it through the week thank goodness! Today I thought I would talk to you about my latest obsession, kombucha. Some of you may have heard of it, and some of you may be thinking what the heck is that!? It’s actually a drink that has so many health benefits, and you probably should be drinking it.
So, let’s start from the beginning. What exactly is kombucha? Kombucha is a fermented tea with probiotics, that is slightly bubbly. It contains water, sugar, tea, and SCOBY. SCOBY stands for Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria & Yeast. This is what holds the good bacteria and the yeast, and what gets fermented. Most brands ferment their teas in the actual bottle you will be buying it in.
My favorite brand is Health Ade Kombucha. They have many different flavors of kombucha, and you can’t go wrong with any of them. The pink lady apple is by far my favorite flavor, but the maca-berry is a close second. Their superfood flavors have even more health benefits for you.
Health starts in your gut. You want your body to be in line and working properly. You need probiotics to help align your digestive system. You can take a probiotic supplement, or you can drink kombucha daily and you will be all set.
If you were thinking about trying kombucha, you should definitely give it a try. It will totally change your life. I look forward to drinking mine every day! Go out this weekend and pick some up at your local grocery store. Whole Foods, Sprouts, and Fairway are just a couple markets that you can find them at.
