The latest New York City neighborhood we are exploring is Murray Hill. In Murray Hill you’ll find brownstones, townhouses, and a number of spacious mid-rise condo buildings.
Murray Hill is not considered the center of the fast, glamorous NYC lifestyle. This neighborhood is a decidedly no-frills, down-to-earth pocket of the city. It is known as a popular destination for undergraduates and graduates and its location makes it an ideal neighborhood for many professionals that work in Midtown making it a popular after work destination. A myriad of happy hour specials attract those looking to unwind after the workday with a beer and a quick bite.
Murray Hill isn’t known for fine dining, but the neighborhood is sprinkled with smaller and more intimate cafes, bagel shops, and bars. Cipriani is frequented by the business set due to its location and is a nice place to grab a bite to eat in midtown. If you love Mexican food check out Baby Bo’s Cantina, or if you prefer Italian head to Rossini’s. You can pretty much throw a rock in any direction in Murray Hill and hit an Irish bar. There are countless options for you to choose from, but The Ginger Man has an endless list of craft beers to choose from and some excellent bar snacks (try the soft pretzels!).
