October was a busy month! We did lots of fun fall activities like go apple picking, decorated pumpkins, enjoyed some yummy fall sangria, and visited Lake George. And while someone I know (*cough* Shelby *cough*) is already ready for the holiday season to be here, I am not quite ready to let go of fall yet. So don’t worry, we still have lots of fall themed posts coming your way this month, starting with our quintessentially picture perfect road trip through Vermont we’ll be sharing later this week. But today, I wanted to share some of my favorite items I discovered during October.

I grabbed this Burt’s Bees Cleansing Oil on a whim while strolling through the beauty aisle at Target. I’ve used Caudalie’s divine oil as a moisturizer in the past, but I’d never used a cleansing oil. This one is really gentle, and I love how soft it leaves my skin. I know it sounds counterproductive, but using oil on your face does not leave your skin oily.

I’m very impressed with Essie’s Gel Setter Top Coat. It truly does what it says, and while I used to skip a top coat all together, I can’t finish a manicure anymore without applying it.

October favoritesI started reading The Royal We this month, and while I’m not all the way through it yet, it had to be included in my favorites! The plot follows an American woman studying abroad at Oxford who finds herself living down the hall from a prince, aka the future king of England. They meet, fall in love, and……. i actually don’t know as I’m not finished yet, but the storyline is a familiar one. Basically a cross between The Prince and Me and the real life Will and Kate, so you know I’m automatically a fan.

This lotion from Bath & Body Works smells AMAZING. You know those lotions that you use frequently just so you can smell yourself? No? Just me? Well, this is my new favorite scent. I just wish they made it in a hand cream, but this line just launched, so maybe it’s coming soon. Santa, if you’re reading this, this would be a perfect stocking stuffer 🙂

October favoritesI don’t know about you guys, but I can never resist Target’s dollar section. I picked up these fun pencils and sticky notes during one of my many Target trips this past month. I don’t know why, but cute pens/pencils and a new notepad just make me so happy.
