Skincare Routine | Nighttime

Skincare RoutineI’ve always taken really good care of my skin. For as long as I can remember I have had a nighttime skincare routine. It has varied slightly over the years, but this is what I have settled on over the past year and a half.

Eyemakeup Remover

Makeup Wipes For years I used the Clinique Take The Day Off eye makeup remover. I still get it every once in awhile, but this makeup remover from Target is the exact same thing for a quarter of the price. I absolutely love it. It doesn’t sting if it gets in your eyes, and it isn’t too greasy. After taking my eye makeup off I just use a makeup wipe to remove the rest of my face makeup.

Face WashIn the shower I use my Clarisonic, which I can not say enough good things about. This tiny machine literally changed my life when it came to my skincare routine. Your skin feels absolutely amazing after you’ve used it. Now, when it come to face wash proceed with caution. The Clean & Clear one I use has 10% Benzyl Peroxide which is insane. I only use it because that is what my dermatologist has prescribed. If Ashley even comes near the stuff she breaks out in a rash. Consult a doctor before trying this one. It’s not for everyone. As an alternative I suggest this Dermalogica wash. It’s amazing.

After Shower

Eye CreamAfter I get out of the shower I put on this Origins serum which literally works wonders. Then I lather on this Clarins eye cream, which I can’t say enough good things about. I have used it consistently for the past two years. It’s incredible. Tip* Always use your ring finger to put on eye creams. The skin around your eyes is the most sensitive, and the ring finger puts the least amount of pressure. Lastly, I put on my trusty Clinique moisturizer. I don’t think I have ever used a different nighttime moisturizer. This is been the most consistent product I have ever used.

Bite Lip MaskIf my lips are feeling really dry I put on this Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. Beware, it’s very sticky, but the results are worth it. I will usually put it on right before bed, and let it sink in over night.

Nighttime Skincare RoutineAnd that’s it! My face is nice and clean and ready to rejuvenate over night!
