One of the best things about London, in my opinion, are the parks. When I lived in London I lived across the street from Hyde Park. I loved spending afternoons sitting on a bench reading or taking a stroll through the shady paths. On our recent trip to London, I made sure an afternoon was set aside to visit Hyde Park!
In case you are not aware, William and Kate (and George and Charlotte of course) live at Kensington Palace, which is located within Hyde Park. I had thought that bumping into Kate a few days earlier had made us besties and we would be invited in for tea, but alas, she seemed to not be home, so we headed to sketch instead!
Another favorite thing about Hyde Park are the pretty English gardens. It’s in stark contrast to Green Park for example where everything is, well, green. 🙂
The weather this day was perfect, and we enjoyed walking around a bit before finding a bench under a shady tree to sit and people watch for awhile- one of my all time favorite things to do!
