2019 Goals

The new year always marks a good turning point in my life. Most people are really motivated at the start of a new year, but for some reason for me I feel super charged and like I can conquer the world. This first week of the year I will get so many things done that I’ve been putting off. Now I just need to learn how to do that all year long. I don’t really like to make resolutions. To be honest I just don’t like that word. I feel like I’m already setting myself up for failure. Instead, I make a list of goals. Little things I want to incorporate into my life throughout the year. I started making the list last fall, and I am so excited to dive right in an start accomplishing them. 

  • Go to bed by 11:30 P.M.
  • Get up at 7:00 A.M.
  • Yoga 4 times a week
  • Read a book every month
  • Drink more water
  • Greens at every meal
  • Work from a coffee shop 2-3 times a week
  • Diffuse oils Everyday
  • Continue to transition into non-toxic products

Okay, so I think the first one is going to be the hardest for me. I am a chronic night owl. I’m usually up until 1:30 or 2:00 in the morning. Trust me, I know how terrible that is! I don’t sleep all day, so I average 5-6 hours of sleep a night which is not at all what I should be getting. Does anyone have any tips on how to go to bed early? I just feel like i’m so productive and I don’t know how to stop working and go to bed! 

I’m also not that much of a reader. Okay…I LOVE reading when I’m actually doing it, but I never reach for a book first. I will always make sure I’m caught up on watching all of my YouTube videos and my Netflix Queue before I read. I think one book a month is a really good goal for me. January’s book is Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine. I’m already 100 pages in and I absolutely love it! 

As you all know, Ashley and I are really big about natural and non-toxic products. We haven’t 100% transitioned because to be honest it’s not that easy. The huge steps that we have made is natural deodorant, cleaning products, & skincare. Trust me, step one you want to switch out your deodorant. You are putting chemicals directly into your lymph nodes, and that’s something you DO NOT want to be doing. We haven’t fully transitioned our skincare, but it is something we will be continuing to work on throughout 2019.

We also have some business goals that we would love to accomplish this year. 

We are going to have a few changes around here this year. For starters we are going to only be posting two blog posts a week. Look out for new posts on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are going to be posting 3 YouTube videos every week on Sunday, Wednesday, & Friday! Last but not least, instead of a weekly newsletter we will be sending one out on the first Monday of every month!

We are so excited for 2019, and we can’t wait to just dive right in. We have a great feeling about this year! It’s going to be amazing!! What are your goals for this year!?
