Travel…It’s Good For The Soul
Ashley and I were very fortunate growing up and we were able to visit a lot of different places. Unfortunately for me though, since I am the youngest in our family, I was very young when we visited some of those places so I don’t remember everything about them. We have been so stuck recently on visiting places that we have never seen, but sometimes it is fun to revisit places where you have some awesome memories. Today I wanted to share a few places that we have been that I have been dying to return to!
The Grand Canyon. We went here on an epic road trip when I was about 10 years old. We started in Dallas and hit Santa Fe, Sedona, The Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas. The Grand Canyon was by far my favorite spot on that trip. We stayed on the North Rim and it was truly a piece of paradise. I was so young though, so I would love to go back and experience it as an adult so I could truly appreciate the beauty.
Amsterdam, The Netherlands. We visited Amsterdam in 2014 after I had spent my summer working in London. We wanted to travel for two weeks, so after deciding on Scotland and Ireland, we tagged Amsterdam on at the end. To my surprise I absolutely loved it! Back then though I never did a ton of research on our trips, we just kind of figured things out as we went. Now I have a very long list of places I want to eat at and see in Amsterdam! Plus, I have to go take some photos in the tulip fields! I mean who doesn’t want that!
[one_half padding=”0 3px 0 0px”][/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 0px 0 3px”][/one_half_last]Scotland, United Kingdom. Scotland is one of my favorite places in the world. Allix and I went to visit our friend Matt who is from Northern Scotland. He took us on an epic road trip, and surprised us on each stop! Then Al and I met up with mom and Ashley in Edinburgh and had an incredible time, but it definitely wasn’t long enough. I would love to go back to Edinburgh, and explore Glasgow!
Tennessee. I was only two when we went on our trip to the Smoky Mountains. I would love to go back and experience that again, as well as spend some time in Nashville. Like I said before, I have running lists of things to do in most places around the world.
San Francisco. Ashley and I definitely don’t agree on this one. I loved San Francisco but she did not. We tacked this one on with our trip to Napa, so we only spent two days there. I want to go back with a clear plan and tackle some of those places I have on my list.
