Winter is the perfect time to stay in and catch up on your Netflix queue. Especially if you are hit with 28 inches of snow like we were this past weekend.
After venturing out briefly to play, we spent the rest of the weekend curled up on the couch sipping hot tea and catching up on some of our favorite shows.

Making a Murderer- Have you guys seen this yet? Shelby and I are undecided. We have a ton of questions that the documentary doesn’t exactly address, but its definitely a thought provoking show

Parenthood- I watched this as it aired live on NBC and am currently re-watching it on Netflix. It’s such a good family show, with an excellent cast.

Great British Baking Show- I’d never heard of this show until it popped up in my suggested shows on Netflix. Combine the Brits and baking and you have two of my favorite things.

Orange is the New Black- This is one of those shows I look forward to watching every summer when the new season becomes available. The first two seasons were really good, but I’ll be honest, it took me a long time to make it through the third season. I just couldn’t get into it.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt- This show is hysterical. We wrote more about it here. Catch up on season one before season two comes out on April 15th!

Gilmore Girls- LOVE LOVE LOVE this show. This is one of those rare shows (Friends is the other one) that I can watch over and over again and never get sick of.

Broadchurch- This is a British crime drama that originally aired in the UK but was broadcast on BBC America a few years ago and that’s when Shelby and I first watched it. Season one was really really good, and I just saw that season two is on Netflix so I’m excited to watch it. If you were one of the 4 people that watched Gracepoint (the American remake of Broadchurch) on Fox in fall 2014 than the show (and the lead actor) will be very familiar to you.

Friday Night Lights- This show is pretty much my high school experience. If you love football and you love high school drama than you’ll love Friday Night Lights. Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Lose!

Fixer Upper- These fellow Baylor University alums are single-handedly changing the landscape of Waco, TX. It’s fun for me to tune and and see tons of people and places I recognize.
Ok guys, so here’s where we want your input. What shows are currently in your Netflix queue? I’ve heard good things about House of Cards, but couldn’t ever make it past the first episode. What have you binge-watched lately? Leave a comment and let us know!

Love all of your suggestions! I really want to try making a murderer.
I love re-watching How I met your mother. I also started watching How to get away with murder and Blacklist. And I can always watch anything HGTV!
I just finished Friday Night Lights for the first time ever. Nothing got accomplished for weeks. The dishes and laundry stacks were so high.
I love Netflix!
