Invest In Your Skin…It’s The Largest Organ In Your Body
Hey Y’all!! I know this post has been highly anticipated, so I’m so glad I could finally get it up for you. I started talking about Drunk Elephant a few weeks ago on InstaStories. I decided to finally take the plunge and try their products out after researching endlessly and reading so many blog posts, Youtube videos, and reviews on them.
Drunk Elephant takes a whole new approach to skincare. They even created their own category dubbing it Clean Clinical. I think their website explains their philosophy perfectly, so here is how they describe their products.

The one thing I don’t necessarily agree with is essential oils. You guys know we love using essential oils on a daily basis, but I was willing to give it a try. So, basically long story short I have been having a lot of breakouts recently and all of the products I was using was making it worse. I tried all of the things my dermatologist had told me to try and it just wasn’t cutting it. The biggest factor holding me back was the price. I’m an all or nothing type of person, and I have zero patience so I knew if I was going to try it I would be all in. I finally just hit a point though, where I said screw it! Let’s try!
At first I ordered The Littles from Sephora to try, and after only 48 hours I was hooked and I knew I needed to get everything. Being the zero patience person I am, I headed straight to Sephora because I couldn’t even wait two more days for shipping. I didn’t buy everything because it would have been $700 and no one has time or money for that. Here is a breakdown of everything I bought and my honest reviews + how and when I use them!
Beste no.9 Jelly Cleanser– I’ve always talked on and on about the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser, so I was pretty sure that I was going to love this. It says that it can remove your makeup, but I always prefer removing my makeup with Micellar Water first. It’s very light, and my face feels super clean after I use this. I use it every night as the first step in my skincare routine. It retails for $34
Pekee Bar– I’ve never really been a big fan of bar soaps, for my body or face, but as I was diving head on into this Drunk Elephant journey i knew I needed to try them. In an effort to make my products last as long as possible I bought this bar to use in the morning since I was going to use the jelly cleanser at night. This bar is made with blueberry extract, but doesn’t have a scent. I really do love it. I look forward to my morning cleanse with Pekee. It retails for $28
JuJu Bar– I actually tried this bar before the Pekee bar and it was love at first scrub. It’s so important to exfoliate your skin, but be careful not to do it too often. This bar is made with bamboo and feels so so nice on the skin. Do not, I repeat, do not place the bar directly on your face. Run it under water in your hands to get the product off of the bar, then use your hands to exfoliate. I like to use this in the shower, and I’m telling you my skin has never felt so soft. I use it every other day. *note I do not have sensitive skin so I can handle using it that often. It retails for $28
[one_half padding=”0 3px 0 0″][/one_half][one_half_last padding=”0 0px 0 3px”][/one_half_last]C-Firma Day Serum– You guys, using a vitamin C serum on your face in the morning is one of the most important things you can do. Just like you need vitamin c inside of you, you need it on your face as well. This one is full of antioxidants and almost instantly firms and brightens your skin. You can apply this every day, I do, but it does have a lasting effect and works on your skin for 72 hours! I use this every morning. It retails for $80
T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum– This is one of the main reasons I wanted to try Drunk Elephant. Like I said before, I have been having trouble with some acne over the past few months. This isn’t something I’m used to dealing with, but nothing I was trying was working. This serum removes your dead skin cells overnight to reveal clear and smooth skin. I use this every night. It retails for $90
Virgin Marula Luxury Face Oil– This face oil is like a little miracle hug for your skin. It is filled with so many great things like Omegas 6 & 9, Vitamin E, and antioxidants. It’s very hydrating, and also helps you fight against free radicals and pollutants. I mix it with my moisturizer every night for an extra boost of goodness to my skin. It retails starting at $40
Protini Polypeptide Cream– This is one of two moisturizers that Drunk Elephant has. I picked this one because of the added benefits of the protein and peptides that help to boost collagen in your skin as well as improving the texture and firmness. It’s really nice and I highly recommend it. It retails for $68
T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial– This right here is just amazing! Think of it as an at home facial. It’s pretty strong, and contains AHA and BHA. I would suggest doing it no more than once a week, and if you have sensitive skin maybe only twice a month. it will take all of the dead skin cells off of your face to reveal a youthful radiance and skin clarity. It retails for $80
One of the things I love most about Drunk Elephant is the packaging. Not only is it clean and aesthetically pleasing, it is packaged in a way where you get the least amount of bacteria inside of them. You almost never touch more than the product you are using at that moment. The twist up caps on the serums are genius.
Like I said at the beginning, try out The Littles first to see how you lie the products before investing in the full sizes. You won’t regret it though. All Drunk Elephant products are just amazing!
