What We Bought And What We Still Have Our Eyes On
As you’re probably aware, public access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts today. We know EVERYONE is talking about it, and the last thing you probably want is to scroll through another Instagram Story with a blogger doing a fitting room try on haul. But if you are interested in what we purchased, we thought this would be an easy way for you to browse and click around around. We like to see what other people are buying, so we thought we’d share too!!!
A couple of key things if you’re new to shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale-
1. This sale is so fun (and the ONLY one we ever shop) because it’s BRAND NEW stuff hitting the store that’s on sale. It’s not end of season spring/summer product. It’s new fun fall stuff! And since that’s our favorite season to shop for, that makes this sale so fun for us.
2. Keep in mind Nordstrom offers free shipping/returns on EVERY purchase. That means you can purchase online with peace of mind that you can easily return anything you don’t love, and you don’t have any added shipping expense.
3. Early access started for the sale last week for Nordstrom credit or debit card holders, and the sale goes live to the public today, Friday 7/20 thru 8/5. While the sale goes until 8/5, I encourage you to shop early as sizes, colors, and items will disappear FAST! If something was out of stock that you wanted, or it currently isn’t available in your size or color keep checking back as things are constantly getting restocked throughout the sale.

Shoes is always the first thing I look at when the sale goes live. This year I had my eye on these mules and I also grabbed these sneakers.
The next thing I always look at is sweaters. I know the middle of July is a hard time to think about sweaters, but the prices are too good to resist! And almost every single one I purchased is under $50. Loved the back detail on this Madewell one. This striped one looks super soft and I loved the colors. This one and this one both had pretty sleeve detail I really liked. I grabbed this sweater that had a cool zipper detail on the back. This basic roll neck sweater looks super cozy and I grabbed this one in the prettiest light blue color.
I splurged on this cashmere sweater, but I couldn’t resist the cute button sleeve detail and the pretty burgundy color that’s perfect for fall!
Then I grabbed this Madewell denim jacket because Shelby has it and loves it (and I got mine on sale and she didn’t, ha!). I also got these Madewell earrings. They’ll be so cute with all those sweaters!
Jeans are the only thing I really struggle to buy online (they all fit so differently!) but I’ve heard good things about these Good American jeans so I bought some to try. We’ll see how that goes. I’ll keep you guys posted.
This sale is also a good time to stock up on the things you should buy but don’t always want to buy, like pajamas, bras, socks, etc. I grabbed another of my favorite pajama sets because I saw they were on sale. Seriously my favorite pajamas ever. So soft and cozy!

So I went a little crazy this year… #oops
My big priority this year for the sale was coats. I need to get rid of some that I have, and I found a few too many replacements. I’ve had my eye on this faux leather one since I saw it in the catalog. I also grabbed this Kensie cocoon coat, this wool topcoat from J.Crew, this camel topcoat, and this fleece coat looks cozy and was such a great price! I also grabbed this faux suede vest.
You guys know I love Madewell jeans, so I grabbed these jeans and these too to try. I also grabbed a pair of these Spanx faux leather leggings. I think they’ll be so cute in the fall with a long cozy sweater and booties!
Now onto sweaters! This varsity stripe sweater is so cute (I ordered one for my Mom too!). I grabbed this ribbed cardigan, this textured wool cardigan from J.Crew, and then this oversized waffle stitch cardigan. I also grabbed this striped sweater and then this one in a few colors as well. Both are under $32!
I got this plaid shirt from Madewell, and this one too. Madewell also has really great jewelry, so I grabbed this necklace and these earrings. Both under $25!
Last but not least, shoes. I grabbed these black booties, and then two pairs of sneakers. These for working out, and then these for more of a fashion sneaker.
