What To Do When You’re Feeling Stuck
With back to school season upon us, I keep finding myself itching for a change. You guys know this, but a big part of it is that I hate summer, and can’t wait for fall to get here! This change in seasons is something I look forward to every year. There is something about this time of year that always feels like a clean slate. It’s a good time to evaluate things and make little changes. Here are a few ways how to hit the reset button.

This is such a quick and simple way to organize your thoughts and get your goals on paper. This helps you to physically see what you want to accomplish and aid you in prioritizing the importance of each item.
Get organized
Clean out your closet and fill a bag with items to donate. Finally go through that one drawer in your bathroom with all of the skincare and makeup products you haven’t touched in a year. Organize your pantry and throw out those questionable spices you’ve carried with you through 3 different apartment moves over the years.
Unplug
I’ve previously spoken about disconnecting, but taking some time to unplug is necessary for hitting the reset button. Take away the constant stream of content stimulating you on social media, and look inwards upon yourself without the opinions or justification from others. Journal, read that novel that’s been sitting on your nightstand for forever, and spend some time in nature reflecting.
Treat yourself to something new
This could be a new pair of shoes (love these booties!), a new plant, or some yummy smelling candles. Think of something that brings you joy, and invest in it for a little pick me up. Every time you wear it, see it, or use it take a moment to pause and appreciate your life in that second of joy.
Start a new project
We all have those things that we always tell ourselves we’re going to get around to, but then we never actually do them. If you’re craving a reset, this is the perfect time to take on something new! Use the opportunity to learn a new skill and to push yourself out of your comfort zone.
Spend time with friends
No matter how many piles of things we have to to, it’s important to carve out time to hang out with friends, even if it’s just for a quick 30 minute cup of coffee and a chat.
