Where To Eat In Seattle

All Of The Places We Enjoyed On Our Trip

During our recent trip to Seattle, we ate at a lot of yummy places! As you saw in our travel diary, our Mom came with us on this trip. We love to experience the local food when traveling, and this trip was no exception. Here is where to eat in Seattle.

Let’s start with coffee. Obviously there are no shortage of coffee places in Seattle, way more than we had the time to try, but we did manage to squeeze in a few great ones! First up, the original Starbucks on Pike Place! This was more just to say we had been there, the actual store front is very tiny, but we did each order the Pike Place drip coffee.

We also went to the Starbucks Reserve Roastery, which was a very elevated Starbucks experience to say the least. We ordered the tasting to share, which was 3 small pots of different roasts. We also ordered a special drink they just offer there, a whiskey barrel-aged cold brew that was SO GOOD! The food was so good too, we went back for seconds and another round of the whiskey cold brew. The bread here was some of the best I’ve ever had, and I’m not a big bread fan.

Another coffee shop we tried was Storyville Coffee. It was very crowded, so we took our coffees to go, but there was a cute cozy spot with a fireplace that would be perfect to snuggle up by with a good book on a cold and rainy day. The coffee was delicious, and so was the oatmeal cookie I grabbed for an afternoon snack. And for some reason they were giving out free mugs that day? So that was a fun bonus!

Our first night in Seattle we went to Orfeo for dinner. It was recommend to us by our hotel, and only a few blocks from where we were staying. We ordered a salad to share to start, and then a couple of pizzas and some fresh homemade pasta, all of which were very tasty. We shared a bottle of wine and chatted away, sharing a lovely meal and catching up.

Our second night we headed away from the downtown area a bit and had dinner at Tallulah’s. This was such a cute and cozy spot! We ordered some yummy cocktails, and started with an appetizer of kale chips- Shelby’s favorite snack. We each ordered different veggie bowls for our main, and they were all delicious!

For breakfast one morning we popped into Top Pot Doughnuts to grab something quick before we headed to the top of the Space Needle. This was the first of 3 doughnut places we had during this Seattle/Portland trip. These were pretty good! Definitely more on the classic side with the taste and texture you grew up loving. The coffee was good too!

Before leaving Seattle and driving to Portland, we popped into Dahlia Bakery to grab a few snacks for the road. Shelby and I ended up splitting the sweet cream biscuit and the cheddar cornbread. Both were delicious, but I think we both preferred the biscuit over the cornbread.

Where are your favorite spots to eat in Seattle? We’ll add them to our list for next time! Have you ever been to a Starbucks Reserve Roastery? I can’t wait for the one in NYC to open soon! Fingers crossed they have the whiskey cold brew!
