The Happiest Place On Earth
Shelby has been begging to go to Walt Disney World for years now. We went as kids, but she didn’t really remember a lot about the trip, so she has wanted to make a return trip and we finally made it happen. We went to Disneyland Paris last year, which was fun, but nothing compares to Walt Disney World.

On our first day we split the day between Animal Kingdom and Epcot. At Animal Kingdom we did a few rides, but the highlight was probably the safari ride. Seeing animals up close is always fun, but what was especially cute about this day was the animal handlers had given many of the animal pumpkins! It was so cute to see them playing with and eating them.

At Epcot, we walked around the world, popped into Anna and Elsa’s house to say hello, and then waited in line for an hour for the Frozen ride. It was a long wait, but the ride was really cool! Note, it is not scary at all. Also note, Allix’s terrified face in our ride photo, haha.

We had a yummy dinner in Mexico complete with margaritas toasting to a great first Disney day!

The next day we headed to Universal Studios, more on that later this week along with part two of our time at Walt Disney World, but at the end of the day we headed to Disney Springs for a little shopping. We visited the world’s largest Disney store, picked up a few souvenirs, and Shelby made a sloth at Build-A-Bear.
