We are big fans of beauty products here at As Told By. The invention of the beauty subscription box is, in my opinion, one of the best beauty breakthroughs in the past 5 years. What’s better than getting a fun little box filled with surprises once a month? I’ve been a Birchbox subscriber for years now, and aside from just getting mail, I love getting to try new products that I may not have tried otherwise. Some of the staples in my current beauty routine are things I’ve discovered through Birchbox.

Sephora just announced they are launching a beauty subscription box this fall called “Play! by Sephora”. The service would include a monthly box curated with 5 deluxe beauty samples curated around a specific theme for $10 a month. Sound familiar?

I’m curious. How many of you are Birchbox subscribers? How do you feel about Sephora launching their box? Would you give it a try? Would you subscribe to both? Sound off in the comments below.

I love subscription boxes. I am not much of a make up girl and it is a way to try things and get me out of my comfort zone. I have birchbox and Ipsy. I cannot wait to try the new Sephora one when it comes out. Can you two just come help me shop, so I know what I need to buy. LOL

I’ve been meaning to try out birchbox for ages now and just never got around to it. I’ll probably try the Sephora box since I’m the rouge level beauty insider (yikes!) it’s just sort of fueling my Sephora obsession even more! Oh well I’m not complaining 🙂
