As some of you may know I am not a vegetable person. I don’t like them, and I never have. The only vegetable that I crave is Kale. Ashley laughs at me every day because she doesn’t understand why of ALL the vegetables it’s kale I like. I don’t understand it either, but we are rolling with it. Enter kale chips.
I have tried store bought kale chips. My consensus, they are too expensive and not very tasty. So, I decided that I was going to make my own. The great thing about Kale chips is that you can season them however you would like. Isn’t that fantastic?
They are also so easy and quick to make. All you need to do is remove the thick stem, tear into equal size pieces, drizzle some olive oil, season with salt, pepper, and your other favorite seasonings, and then lay out on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. It takes me a total of 15 minutes. This is the best quick and easy snack I could ever ask for. Not to mention, they are good for you! My go to seasonings are granulated garlic, red pepper flakes, and a pinch of salt.
I’ve also just discovered this sriracha ranch from Trader Joes and had the brilliant idea of dipping my kale chips in it. Defeats the healthy purpose of these, but they are mighty tasty.
Have any of you ever made kale chips? What are your favorite seasonings? Let us know in the comments below.
