When the weather turns crisp, I want nothing more than to spend as much time outside as possible. So, on one of the first jacket weather days of the season, we headed up to the Bronx and spent an afternoon at the New York Botanical Garden.
Neither of us had ever been before, and since our Mom was in town, we decided it was the perfect opportunity to visit. This is a very photo heavy post as I couldn’t help but capture all the beauty that nature offers this time of year.
How cool is this pumpkin?
This creature looked like the purple people eater.
We found Jack!
The park was so pretty all decked out for fall.
This spooky tree looked like a spider.
The garden has a gorgeous conservatory.
The Frida Kahlo exhibit (running through November 1st) re-imagines the iconic artist’s famed garden and studio at the Casa Azul, her lifelong home in Mexico City.
I’ll leave you with this little behind the scenes gem:
A trip to the New York Botanical Garden needs to be on your New York City to do list.

So pretty! Ya’ll just keep adding to my list of places to visit, when I visit NYC one day. (I have never been).
