Hey y’all! Happy Friday! Is anyone else recovering this morning from their Cinco De Mayo margaritas!? We sure are! What better way to recover than with new beauty products? No surprise here, I have been digging my toes into some new products. I love trying out new things. Sometimes I find myself getting stuck into a certain routine, and not branching out as it pertains to my beauty routine, so I thought it was time to experiment with a few new things.
Rituals is a store that I pass by all the time here in NYC, but I had never actually been inside. I love the name, and it always looks so warm and inviting, so on a whim I went inside and left with soft hands and many new products to try. All of their collections are based on…you guessed it- rituals! I tried out all of the scents, and even got a hand treatment with my favorite, the Indian rose and sweet almond oil. I also really enjoyed the ritual of karma which is made with holy lotus and bergamot. I came home with products from both because I just couldn’t decide. My favorite products are the shower gel and shower oil. The gel turns into a mouse with water, and the oil turns into a milky liquid when mixed with water. They leave my skin feeling so soft and clean. I think I will most definitely be re-purchasing these.
I actually have never been a huge Tarte fan when it comes to makeup, but I think I might be changing my ways. When I saw the packaging for their new rain forest of the sea collection, I knew I had to try it out. The packaging itself is pretty enough to make me want to buy it. My favorite item from this collection is probably the eye shadow palette. It has every single color I like to use on my eyes. The shadows have a slight shimmer to them, which is what I prefer over a matte eyeshadow. My skin looks pretty matte most of the time, so I tend to not use matte eye shadows. I’ve also never really dived into the whole highlighting and contouring realm, but I think this palette is a great gateway for that. I’ve really been loving the way it makes my skin look. If you want to start learning how to highlight this palette is a great option for you.
These Peter Thomas Roth masks are something I have been wanting to try for awhile now. This is actually a smaller trio version of the masks. Sephora had this in the section leading up to the checkout. You know, the place where you grab one of everything and triple your bill…. I had been putting this off because it was $25 for these three small pots, but after trying them I think the price is worth it. The Irish Moor Mud mask has to be my favorite. It’s very detoxifying, and makes my face feel very clean. The other two are great as well. If you are looking for a new range of face masks, start here. You will be spending a bit more money, but I have found in my experience that with skincare, in general, the pricier the better for you.
Are there any new beauty products y’all have been loving!? Let us know in the comments below.
