How To | Fake Nail Art

I love the look of nail art but do not have the patience to do it myself. I barely have the patience to just paint my own nails. I just hate waiting for them to dry. Nail art requires too many steps and a level of effort I just don’t have time for. I love getting gel manicures as they last for several weeks and are dry immediately, but I don’t love how harsh they are on my nails. These nail polish strips from Sally Hanson are not new, but Shelby and I recently re-discovered them, and I was reminded of how quick and easy it is to fake an impressive looking manicure.

If you’ve never used these before here are the quick facts. They are essentially “stickers” but it’s real nail polish (and has the smell right out of the package to prove it). They last up to 10 days, which is longer than the length of an average manicure. Since it’s real nail polish, you simply remove with nail polish remover. And the best part is they come in all kinds of cute prints and colors- from a simple french manicure to something as crazy as neon leopard print.

Everything you need comes in the little package along with very comprehensive step by step instructions that are very easy to follow. The trick is to make sure your nails are very smooth and clean of any dirt or residue to allow the strip to adhere properly. The application process from start to finish takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you have the hang of it, it goes pretty quick. And no drying time! Give them a try and let us know what you think.
