Ashley and I get asked all the time for restaurant recommendations here in the city. Last week we wrote a guest post over on Helene In Between of the must try brunch places in the city. So, today we thought we would share the overall 7 places you must eat at here in New York.
There are several locations scattered across the city. Basic concept: pick your meatball, pick your sauce, pick your side. That simple, but totally delicious. There are daily rotating specials, and it won’t break the bank. There are even vegetarian meatballs, so everyone will love it!
Are you vegan, or just enjoy healthy and vegan food? If so you will love by Chloe. Now with two locations and a third on the way they are growing phenomenally. We totally recommend the guac burger and the spicy thai salad. Really anything you order will be fantastic.
We couldn’t have a must eat post without including some Tex Mex. If you are truly looking for some authentic food then stop in here. The queso is to die for, and don’t even get me started on the margaritas. The owner is from Texas, so you know its good.
Owned by Mario Batalli, this restaurant grocery store hybrid is a hot spot to visit. There are 6 restaurants inside. The pizza/pasta one is my absolute favorite. I have ordered something different every time and have never been disappointed. On your way out stop for some gelato or a hot chocolate. Definitely the best in the city.
Speaking of pizza, you can not miss eating at Pizza Beach. It is one of our ultimate favorites. There is one in the Lower East Side, and one on the Upper East Side. Order the white pizza, so your taste buds can have a party!
This is one of those places you have to know exists. You enter through an old pawn shop, and the restaurant is through a door on the back wall. You won’t believe your eyes when you walk in the door. The great thing about Beauty & Essex is that the food comes in small plates that you can share with the whole table. You can order multiple options so everyone is happy.
This is one of Ashley and I’s favorite spots in Chelsea market. It is farm to table, and the menu changes seasonally. They have some of the best macaroni & cheese, and hot apple cider I have ever had. It’s pretty small, so try and get a reservation of you can. This is one of those hidden gems on New York!
Have any of y’all ever tried these!? They are our absolute favorites here in the city. Let us know if you get to check them out!
