A lot of people are scared to travel to New York because they think it is too expensive. To be honest with you, if you don’t know what your doing it can be! So today, we are here to tell you 17 free things you can do in New York City to completely fill up your itinerary.

Staten Island Ferry This is a great way to see the Statue of Liberty, and get a great view of NYC.

Central Park Pack a picnic or just take a stroll, CP is a wonderful place to spend your time.

FIT Museum This is always free, and the exhibit is ever changing. I’m biased, but its one of my favs.

Highline Park Another great place for a stroll and some beautiful views. Walk from 34th to 14th street.

Grand Central Terminal A perfect place for a photo op into history.

Coney Island The beach, fair rides, and food! What more could you ask for?

St. Patrick’s Cathedral You don’t have to be Catholic, or go to mass. The architecture is stunning.

Brooklyn Bridge Whether you want to run, walk, or bike it you will always find tourists and locals alike.

Union Square Farmers Market Even if you don’t buy anything, the samples will tide you over.

Friends Apartment Building If you are obsessed like me, this is a must see!

Chelsea Market Grab lunch, or just walk around and see what there is to offer this is one of our favorites.

Metropolitan Museum of Art The MET is pay as you wish, so go and learn with some amazing art.

Brooklyn Bridge Park Want to see a great sunset? This is the place to go.

Brooklyn Brewery Go for a tasting and tour on the weekends.

Strawberry Fields Do you love John Lennon? Go see this beautiful tribute in Central Park.

Yoga To The People Want to stay in shape? This studio is donation based, so get your zen on!
