Glossier | Is It Worth The Hype?

Glossier | Is It Worth The Hype?

By now, most if you have probably heard of Glossier, but if not let me give you the inside scoop. Glossier was started by a team of beauty editors to create skincare and makeup products that are essential and truly work. Sounds like the perfect combo right!? Ashley and I have heard about Glossier for awhile now, and I’m honestly not sure why we had never tried it before. I’m so glad we finally took the plunge, and we have a special discount code for you guys at the end of this post!

If you don’t know what kind of products you need or want, I suggest buying the Phase 1 and/or Phase 2 set/s. You can buy the products individually as well which is just as easy. We haven’t tried everything, but I would love to try the rest to get a full perspective on the brand.

So, let’s start with skincare. The milky jelly cleanser is by far one of my favorite cleansers I have ever tried. It’s soft, hydrating, and moisturizing. It leaves your skin feeling very cleansed and refreshed.

Glossier offers 3 different serums, but I picked up the Super Glow and Ashley picked up the Super Pure. I have to say, they are good, but there are other serums I like better. They are very liquidy. It takes a lot of patting into your skin to get them to stay on.

Ashley picked up the Priming Moisturizer and she absolutely loves it! It’s very buildable, and reminds us a lot of the Embroylisse Lait Creme. I think I might need to go grab one for myself!

Moving on to makeup! I’ll start with the Boy Brow. I talked a lot about this in our video below, but it seriously is the best brow product I have tried. It looks vey natural when it’s on, and it doesn’t create a hard layer over your brows like some other products do. This is definitely worth a try!

The cloud paint was a new concept to me, but I was pleasantly surprised. We both picked it up in the color Dusk. I apply mine with a beauty blender on the apples of my cheeks and it comes off beautifully. It even lasts all day which is a major plus.

Next up is the Generation G lip color. This is a great product that keeps your lips moisturized. My one complaint is that it is a sheer color, which is what it is meant to be. I usually like a darker lip color, but this is right up Ashley’s alley.

Last but not least is the Universal Skin Salve. You can use this on your lips, cuticles, elbows, or anywhere that you have dry skin. It’s not too sticky and really does what it is meant too. I picked it up in mint and the new birthday flavor! This will definitely be a repurchase for me!

Glossier does not have a retail store, and unfortunately they don’t ship internationally yet. They are working on getting that up and running. They do have a showroom here in NYC that you can visit, so a few weekends ago Ash and I headed down there to check it out. It’s fairly small, but that’s to be expected in New York. We loved shopping around and trying all of the different products. I already can’t wait to go back!
