Hey Y’all!
As some of you might know, we lost our grandfather Patrick Kallus (Po-Po) a few weeks ago. He was an incredible man, and will be remembered forever. It’s funny the things you start to remember, and the traits you see in yourself when someone is gone. I feel like he is here with us all the time, and is watching over us.
Right after he and my grandma got married, they moved to Georgia where he was stationed for the army. A few years ago, he pulled out his army jacket to show us and I fell in love. I knew that one day that was something that I would truly treasure. My grandma was kind enough to let me have it, and I know I will be wearing it all autumn long.
I have always loved army jackets as a form of fashion. I’ve never had a true vintage one before, but many brands sell some pretty awesome looking ones. There are so many ways that you can style a military jacket. Once it gets colder, I’m definitely going to throw on some knee high boots and a scarf with it. They are so versatile and incredibly comfortable.
T-Shirt / Jeans / Shoes / Earrings
I know that Po-Po would be very honored and proud that I am wearing his jacket. It’s something truly special, and something that I will have forever to remember him.
