How To Get Beach Waves

When summer hits, I avoid using heated styling tools like the plague. Who wants to deal with blow outs and flatirons when the temperatures are soaring? Not me.

My go to hairstyle during the summer months is natural beachy waves. Everyone has heard of this surf spray but this year they released this new version:

What it is: An oil- and salt-infused spray to create soft, sea-tossed waves with sheen. What it is formulated to do: This innovative blend of tropical oils and sea botanicals softens hair and adds shine while a sea mineral complex builds tousled texture. It’s perfect for those who need extra conditioning in or out of the sun for a softer, touchable finish. It contains UV filters to guard against the drying effects of the sun and offers beachy, windswept texture with volume and a matte finish.

The trick is to not touch your hair while it’s drying or it will get frizzy. My hair is pretty curly, but you could add more defined texture by wrapping a few pieces around the barrel of a hot curling iron. It doesn’t get easier than that folks.

What are your go to summer hair styles?
