A Tasty Banana Free Smoothie
Hey Y’all! Happy Friday! So today I wanted to share something that we get asked about all of the time. We share this recipe a lot on our What We Eat In A Day videos, but I thought it was time to put it down here on our blog. For those that don’t know Ash and I HATE bananas! Okay well Ashley really hates them, like doesn’t even want them in the apartment. I can tolerate them. No one in our family likes bananas, so we never had them around going up. I guess that contributes to our distaste.
Both of us usually only eat about two meals a day, but we like to drink a protein smoothie after our afternoon workout. This is always enough for me, and holds me over until dinner. I’ve been doing this for years, so I really feel like I have perfected my recipe. I love raspberries, so that’s always the base of my smoothies. I started adding spinach to them about a year ago. As I’ve stated multiple times, I’m not a huge vegetable person so I need to hide them in my food any way possible. I put a big handful in this smoothie and I can’t taste or see it at all. It’s perfect! Vegetable haters rejoice!

I just eye it every time because sometimes I’m making just enough for me, and sometimes I’m making enough for both Ashley and I. I also highly suggest having a high powered blender to get the consistency really smooth and creamy. I prefer my smoothies that way. Just add all the ingredients to your blender and you are good to go!
- Frozen Raspberries
- Frozen Pineapple
- Frozen Blueberries
- Spinach
- Vegan Protein Powder
- Almond or Oat Milk
- Water
- Optional: Maca Powder, Flaxseed Meal, Cinnamon, Collagen Peptides (Not Vegan)
Your end result is an amazing nutritious protein, fruit, and vegetable filled smoothie! What’s great about smoothies is that you can’t really go wrong with them. It’s all about your preference and taste. All that matters is that you like it.
