On Saturday we headed down to Brooklyn to check out the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Since our brother doesn’t live too far from there, he decided to join us. The weather was phenomenal, but maybe a little too warm for our outfits. Seeing the botanic gardens in the spring is on my 52 things to do in NYC list, so I’m so glad that I got to check it off before I fly to Dallas tomorrow and spring has turned into summer. We had just missed cherry blossom season, but we did get to see the massive bluebell field which honestly took my breath away. All of the spring blooms were so fun to look at and smell.
I just loved the name of these flowers! I’ve never heard of Old Man’s Whiskers before!
We named this the “Horton Hears A Who” flower!
Bubba got tired of our photo shenanigans!
The Bluebell field was my favorite!<3
We had such a fun daytrip down to Brooklyn, and we were so glad that the weather was on our side. Now I’m packing and getting ready to head to Texas because we are staying at the Magnolia House for a couple days next week. Do we have any Fixer Upper fans out there!? We can’t wait to share this trip with you. Be sure you are following our Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat (ashandshelbs) for all of your updates on our daily musings!
