I love reading about people’s skincare routines and learning about what products they use, so I thought I would share what mine are today. I try to use mostly natural products, and don’t mind investing money in good skincare products. I was blessed with pretty good skin. I never had acne issues growing up, and even now, I only breakout once or twice a year. My skin is pretty sensitive and on the dry side, so a good moisturizer is my best friend.
Here is a peek into my medicine cabinet where all my skincare products live.
MORNING:
I don’t always wash my face in the mornings, but if I do, I’ll use this Burt’s Bees cleansing oil. It’s gentle and moisturizing (and was one of my favorite things last month). Next I’ll put one pump of Origins Skin Renewal Serum all over. If I’m feeling extra tired, I’ll dab Origins GinZing eye cream under my eyes and moisturize with the Origins GinZing moisturizer. Most days though, I’ll follow up the serum with this Aveeno ultra calming daily moisturizer.
NIGHT:
Confession time. I’ve never washed my face before bed. I simply take off my make-up and cleanse my face with these cleansing towelettes. I like to use a thicker moisturizer at night, especially during the colder months. First I’ll dab on the Clinique moisture surge eye cream followed by the Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins moisturizer. If my lips are feeling dry I’ll use this Bite Beauty agave lip mask before bed.
IN THE SHOWER:
Sometimes I shower at night, sometimes I shower in the morning, it just depends on what I have going on. I always use my Clarisonic in the shower with Cetaphil to cleanse my face. I LOVE my Clarisonic. It has really changed my skin’s texture for the better.
EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE:
When my skin is feeling a little dull and needs a pick me up, I’ll use a sheet mask, detoxify with a mud mask, or use a spritz of spring water to perk up. A little tip- keep your face masks in the fridge for a nice cooling effect.
