While I’m thrilled to be able to be spending Christmas in Texas with my family, part of me wishes I was off on some fabulous winter getaway. The weather has been so bizarre this year, and it’s going to be in the 70s where I’ll be on Christmas day! The 70s?!?! So, that has me dreaming of fabulous winter holiday destinations I can fantasize about.
Ok, everyone sing with me: “I’m dreaming of a white Christmas…….”

This beautiful resort is surrounded by snow capped mountains and a clear blue lake. Situated inside a national park in picturesque Alberta, Canada, this hotel has been high on my list of places to visit ever since I saw it on The Bachelor several years ago. From hiking, to ice skating on the frozen lake, or a helicopter tour of the beautiful national park, there are countless winter activities to take part in.

Located in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden is a hotel made of ice. Part art installation, part hotel, it’s built every December and is open through April when the ice, and the hotel, quite literally melts away. Every square inch of the hotel is made of ice, including the furniture. Each room is unique, and has a constant temperature of 23 degrees Fahrenheit. This would be such an interesting place to spend a night or two. The hotel is located in the Arctic Circle, a prime place to view the Northern Lights!

This is a beautiful little resort nestled within the Colorado Rocky Mountains. The resort is comprised of a small complex of log cabins with a plethora of winter activities to chose from. From skiing, to ice skating, to taking a dip in the natural hot springs there seems to be something for everyone. Even if all you want to do is relax in front of a warm fire with a cup of cocoa.
Where are you spending the holidays this year? Hopefully it’s at one of these amazing dream holiday destinations!
