All The Fall Feels

I love a picnic. I love fall. So Shelby and I headed out on a semi-impromptu fall picnic in Central Park last weekend! Semi-impromptu as in I asked her the night before if she wanted to go on a picnic, and we just threw some random snacks in our Reduce Reuse Recycle tote bag that we had on hand and it wasn’t exactly curated or well thought out. But sometimes that’s more fun, right?

The leaves have juuuust started to change in NYC and it was the last semi-warm day of the year with temps in the 60s. We changed out of our loungewear (remember when we wore actual outfits?!) and walked over to the park, finding a perfect spot amongst the trees and falling leaves to lay down our picnic blanket. We spread out our snacks, Shelby put on an autumn playlist, and we spent about an hour enjoying the sunshine, the fall breeze, and that entire bag of truffle potato chips.

We’ve spent quite a bit of time in Central Park this year. It has become our escape. Our gym. Our meditation zone. I’ve listened to countless podcasts while walking around the lake. And sure, we’ve obviously been to Central Park a bunch over the years but never as frequently as now so it’s been fun to really observe the changes in seasons. It’s hard to beat Central Park in the fall!
