Home Interiors Wish List

Your home should be where you feel the most “you”

Home Interiors Wish List

If you find yourself browsing home interiors on Pinterest or asking for things like blenders for your birthday, you’ve officially become an adult. When we moved a few months ago, we set out to only bring the stuff we truly used and loved into our new space. Since we work from home, we spend a lot of time in this space, and we had a very specific design aesthetic we wanted to stick to. Our environment is very important to us. I love low light with lots of candles lit, but Shelbs prefers a light and bright workspace. For that reason, despite working from the same space, we tend work in separate rooms. Moving wasn’t something we had planned, so we didn’t have a ton of available funds to spend on refreshing the decor at the time. We resolved to pick out and buy new pieces we loved slowly over time. We’ve pulled together the ultimate shopping list of essential homewares currently on our wish list.

FURNITURE

When we moved we got a new coffee table, entertainment center, bar stools, and bar cart. While I love our comfy couch, it’s not exactly “pretty”. And I’d love a new bed like this one

DECOR
The quickest (and cheapest!) way to change up your environment is switching out some of the decor elements. Swap out pillows, add a rug, or find some new art. We love a mid-century meets industrial look with pops of wood, gold, and greenery.

KITCHEN

We spend a lot of time in the kitchen, and love to cook, but the kitchen always seems to be the low man on the totem pole when it comes to purchasing things. Kitchen stuff is always something I love browsing, but never seem to actually buy. Shelby REALLY wants some gold or copper flatware, so I have a feeling that’s going to be one of our next big purchases.

PLANTS
We’ve really embraced greenery in our new space. But let me let you in on a little secret- the majority of the plants in our apartment are fake! We’ve found a lot of good ones at Target and Ikea. I don’t know why, but these little planters just make me smile!
What items are currently on your home interiors wish list? Where is your favorite place to shop for home decor?
