Hudson Yards & The Highline
Ash and I decided that we really wanted to end this year on a good note. We were brainstorming so covid safe activities that we could do during the month of December, and Hudson Yards & The Highline were at the top of our list. I’ve actually been visiting Hudson Yards regularly since August because that is where Soul Cycle has been hosting their outdoor classes.
We went to Hudson Yards when it first opened almost two years ago, but we never went to The Vessel. The Vessel is an interactive piece of art that is meant to be climbed. It’s free. you just have to reserve your time slot. We went on a day that was very cold and windy, but the views were still spectacular. Beware, it is all stairs but it is very doable and there are plenty of places to take breaks. There is also an elevator if needed.

Hudson Yards also has an indoor mall with lots of shops and restaurants. They have some really pretty holiday decorations up right now as well.
You can also enter The Highline from Hudson Yards. The Highline is an above ground park that used to be railroad tracks. It’s one of our favorite places in the city. If you’ve never visited I highly recommend that you do. Start at Hudson Yards and end at Chelsea Market, one of our other favorite places in the city. Then go pick up a Whiskey Cold Brew from the Starbucks Reserve Roastery.
