Mascara Round-Up

Y’all, we did it! it’s finally Friday! I can’t believe it. We have a busy weekend ahead of us because this time next week Ashley and I will be in Montreal! Every time we check the weather it seems to be getting colder and colder. Right now the current high in Montreal is 9 degrees Fahrenheit, so that’s fun.

Today I thought that I would share a mascara round up for you. To me, finding a good mascara is the easiest and hardest part of my makeup routine. I change it up almost every day, and I range from drugstore to higher end brands. It truly just depends on my mood and the makeup look I’m going for. I’ll share some of my favorites so you can find your perfect mascara. Let’s start with drugstore.

Maybelline has always been my go to mascara brand. There really isn’t one that I don’t like. Full N’ Soft is a classic, and it perfect for the younger ones just starting out in makeup. The Falsies gives you length and volume, but Lash Sensational is my current Maybelline favorite. I usually use 3 mascaras at a time, and I use this one as my top coat to just take my lashes a step farther.

Rimmel is a brand that I know and love really well. Their lip products are to die for, but their mascara’s just take the cake. Wonder Lash contains argon hail which helps promote eyelash strength and growth. I have truly seen a difference after using them for an extended period of time. Volume Colorist is tinted and will slowly change your eyelash color over time. I am also a big fan of Rimmel’s brushes. I love the thick and fluffy ones. For my thick eyelashes this is perfect.

Now, on to some of those higher end brands.

These are all samples that I have received, but I would totally buy full size in all of them. Make Up Forever has the thick brush that I like and has incredible coverage. So does Too Faced’s Better Than Sex option. The Tarte one is a little thicker than I prefer, but the Stilla one helps to show off each individual lash.

Clinique is one of the first makeup brands I have ever used, and I have ALWAYS been a fan of their mascara’s. The High Impact One is one of my absolute favorites. The brush is perfect, it has amazing coverage, and has the illusion that I am wearing fake eyelashes.

First, I know Loreal is a drugstore brand, but to me it is higher end drugstore. I am fairly new to the Voluminous Feline mascara, but I’m telling you it is incredible. If you like volume in your lashes, give this one a try. Last but not least we have Benefit. They have two mascara that we absolutely love, but the one pictured up is Roller Lash. The brush is really tiny, so it’s perfect for those bottom lashes and for separating the top ones if they become clumpy. This is Ashley’s go to number one mascara.

So, which one is your favorite? Do you use one we didn’t mention? We’d love to hear from you. Let us know in the comments below.
