Hey Y’all! Happy Monday!
As promised over in our Berkshire Travel Diary, I said I was going to tell you all about our trip up to North Adams to visit Mass MoCa. The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art is not your usual museum. It is located in an old factory building and touches all of your senses. You aren’t walking around just looking at pictures of art. You are fully immersed in it and feel like you are part of it.
These colorful walls are just perfect for getting that perfect Instagram picture!
We walk at a faster pace than most in museums, but you could “get lost” and spend your entire day in here. Plus, it’s good for kids because everything catches your eye. They even have a special kids room where they can play and do some activities.
This room was Ashley and I’s favorite. I don’t know what you would call these. Streamers? Strings? Party Decorations? Whatever they are, they made me happy. The room was full of them, and there was a path going through them to walk. This is what I mean by you feel like you are fully immersed in the art.
After our time at the museum, we walked across the street to a restaurant called Public. It was very crowded, which in my book means it will be good. My instincts were right. It was awesome! We ordered drinks, then settled into the very intriguing menu. We started off with the cheese board, and if you know us at all than this is no surprise.
Ashley ordered the falafel wrap, and I got the PB&J Burger. Yes, you heard that right. I was intrigued, so I had to order it. I loved it so much we didn’t even get a picture of it! On one bun was peanut butter, on the other blueberry jam. Then right in the middle was the burger patty. You should definitely give it a try! I might have to recreate a version of it here at home.
I am not a museum person usually, I really just hate standing for so long, but this museum was awesome! I would love to go back!
We hope you enjoyed seeing everything from our trip to The Berkshires! I was pleasantly surprised and just loved the trip a lot! Have a great week! 🙂
