Music Is Happiness
We get asked all the time about what music we are currently listening to, so I thought I would round it up in a post for you. Ash and I are both apple music users, not spotify. I am very eclectic when it comes to my music taste. I will listen to sad indie acoustic and then the next minute i’m dancing around to rap in my room. You guys know this, but I also become very obsessive. When I find someone I like I will play everything to death and Ashley gets really annoyed. It’s just how I roll.
Because I have been hitting the gym so much recently, more on that to come next week, most of the music I have been listening to is really fast and upbeat.
Ariana Grande. This one even surprised me. I have NEVER been a huge fan of hers. Mostly because for some reason I feel like she is really hard to understand. For someone that grew up singing in a choir, diction was always so important so it really bothered me. I always like to give everyone a chance though, so last friday when her new album thank u, next came out I was shocked. I loved every song, and I haven’t stopped playing it since.
Maggie Rogers. Maggie opened for Mumford & Sons when we saw them last December. We absolutely fell in love with her. Her first LP came out in January and it has been on repeat by all three of us in the apartment ever since. We even got our mom and dad into her.
Julia Michaels. Julia has been on the scene for awhile but as a songwriter. Over the past year or so she has started releasing her own tracks, and she just released an EP called Inner Monologue Pt. 1 that is really raw. I love songs that get really emotional.
Lennon Stella. I first learned about Lennon when she was on Nashville. I didn’t watch every season, but I have always been a big fan of her voice. She just released an EP that I just love. Bad and La Di Da are the top tracks for me!

I ALWAYS have music playing, so just assume there is a constant rotation of Harry Styles, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Adele, Elton John, and The Rolling Stones with these songs sprinkled on top! I can’t help it. I’m music obsessed!
