It’s time for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! After a year of living in loungewear I think we are all in need of new clothes. The sale is open to all Nordstrom cardholders now, and opens up to everyone on July 28th. We thought we’d share what’s on our wish list this year as well as some tried and true favorites that we already own and love, but are part of the sale.
A couple of key things if you’re new to shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale-
1. This sale is so fun (and the ONLY one we ever shop) because it’s BRAND NEW stuff hitting the store that’s on sale. It’s not end of season spring/summer product. It’s new fun fall stuff! And since that’s our favorite season to shop for, that makes this sale so fun for us.
2. Keep in mind Nordstrom offers free shipping/returns on EVERY purchase. That means you can purchase online with peace of mind that you can easily return anything you don’t love, and you don’t have any added shipping expense.
3. Nordstrom is allowing you to preview the sale before it goes live AND add items to your wishlist! That means that when the sale goes live you can just quickly add the items you want to your cart and check out. Since popular items are sure to sell out, planning ahead of time will enable you to secure the pieces you want.
4. We encourage you to shop as soon as you can as sizes, colors, and items will disappear FAST! If something was out of stock that you wanted, or it currently isn’t available in your size or color keep checking back as typically things are constantly getting restocked throughout the sale. If it’s on your wishlist you’ll get notified when it comes back in stock.
5. We’ve broke down our picks into categories. For each category we’ll highlight a few of our favorites, but be sure to click through the widget to see all of our picks.
Sweaters
Ashley bought this Treasure and Bond cardigan in cream last year during the sale and it ended up being her favorite thing she bought. She’s picking it up in the rust color this year. It’s so soft and cozy and goes with everything, but we recommend you size down if you don’t want an oversized fit.
We both have this Free People sweater on our list this year. We love the oversized fit and how snuggly it looks!
This All Saints sweater is on Shelby’s list this year. It’s a splurge, but looks so cozy!
You can’t go wrong with a Barefoot Dreams cardigan. Ashley has a few, but Shelby is finally picking one up this year!
Jackets & Sets
Coats and Jackets are always one of the things we snap up during the NSale. We both have our eye on a couple of shakets this year. Ashley can’t decide between this plaid Blank NYC one or the plaid Thread & Supply one. Shelby is getting the Thread & Supply shacket in camel.
Ashley has her eye on this Pendleton jacket. It’s perfect for Colorado!
We each plan to get this North Face jacket. Ashley wants the blue and Shelby wants the red.
We were both secretly obsessed with these B.P. windbreaker track suit sets. Throw back to the 90s! They may look ridiculous on, but we’ll give them a try at least! Ashley wants the black set with this jacket and these pants. Shelby wants the green set with this jacket and these pants.
Shelbys is planning to grab this All Saints leather jacket in black (also love it in the green!). It’s a splurge, but one of those items you’ll have in your closet forever.
Jeans & Tops
We both have these Madewell jeans on our list this year. It’s the perfect wash and Madewell jeans are just SO good and this is such a good price.
Shelby is planning to grab these Blank NYC jeans. Love the cut and distressing on these.
We’ll both probably grab these B.P. tees in a bunch of colors. It’s the perfect cropped tee to throw on with jeans or leggings and sneakers for a hike.
Activewear
Every year we use the sale to replace our sneakers. Ashley has her eye on these Nike sneakers (love the pop of leopard!) and Shelby is planning to grab these slip-on Nikes.
Ashley also loves these black Nike sneakers but more for running errands or casual outfits, not for working out.
These Nike sweatpants are on Shelby’s list this year along with this Nike sweatshirt. Ashley bought the sweatshirt last year and loves it. Shelby initially bought it last year too but ultimately returned it (and regretted it) so happy to see it’s part of the sale again this year!
This is a great time to stock up on sports bras! Ashley is planning to get a few of this style from Zella and Shelby prefers this longer style also from Zella.
Loungewear
This lounge set from Sweaty Betty (sweatshirt linked here and sweatpants linked here) is on Shelby’s list this year.
These Zella leggings and Zella joggers are Ashley’s favorites. She’s planning to grab another pair of the joggers this year.
This True and Co. bra looks perfect for lounging around the house, when you want some sort of bra but not like a bra bra, you know? haha
The Nordstrom Moonlight pajamas are our absolute favorite. The long version is linked here and the short version is linked here. They are lightweight and so so soft and we promise once you try them you’ll never want to sleep in anything else.
Shoes
We already covered sneakers, but the other thing we replace each year during the sale is our Ugg slippers. We both live in these things around the house and they make a great gift if you want to get a jump start on your holiday shopping and take advantage of the sale!
Shelby has her eye on these Vans sneakers in white this year as well as these Marc Fisher boots.
Jewelry
Shelby plans to grab this earring set from BaubleBar. Love the vibes of this mix!
Ashley bought this Gorjana necklace and these earrings during the sale last year and wears them all of the time! They are both great staples.
Ashley also has this initial necklace. It would make such a great gift- or snag it for yourself!
We both have this BaubleBar ring and it’s so fun to wear!
Beauty
There are always some great beauty deals that are part of the sale. This year we both plan to grab this Necessaire set. If you’ve never tried their products do yourself a favor and grab this and your shower will turn into a spa!
We both love Olaplex, and Shelby is planning to purchase this set. It’s such a great deal if you need to replace yours or just want to give the products a try!
Supergoop is our favorite sunscreen and this is a great deal for a set of 3.
Shelby is replacing her make up brushes and is going to grab this set and this eye set.
Home
Since we recently moved into a new house, we’ve been excited to stock up on some home decor stuff from the sale! We both plan to grab one of these Barefoot Dreams blankets for cozy nights watching Netflix on the couch.
If you’re not looking to splurge on a blanket, we highly recommend this one. It’s under $25 and comes in a bunch of colors. Also makes a great gift so grab a few while they are on sale!
There are so many good candles that are part of the sale this year! Ashley wants this set from Brooklyn Candle and Shelby wants this set from Boy Smells.
Ashley also plans to grab this serving board to use for those evenings where you just want some snacky bits and a glass of wine for dinner.
Staples
There are many items that are part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale every year. Some are the exact same while others are updated or offered in new colors. So while we are not purchasing these items this year, they are some of our well loved tried and true favorites- and they are all part of the sale this year!
This Madewell cardigan is a classic. It’s so soft and comes in some great colors. We both own several already, but love this olive green offered this year!
The Spanx faux leather leggings are another fall staple we live in during the cooler months. Add a cardigan and some booties and you’re all set!
This blanket was a bit of an impulse purchase last year, but we both have one and it is a great blanket for under $25. Holds up well once washed, stays soft, and comes in a million colors. Also makes a great gift. Highly recommend!
A new bra perhaps isn’t the most exciting purchase, but it’s also the sort of thing that’s great to grab on sale. This Natori feathers bra is all either of us wear now. It’s great!
If you need some new work out leggings you cannot go wrong with these Zella ones. Also highly recommend these Zella joggers if you want an alternative to leggings.
The Barefoot Dreams cardigan is always a popular item and we own several. Perfect to throw on around the house if you’re not used to Central AC (like us right now) or style with a cute tee and jeans for a night out.
