You’re Never Too Old To Enjoy A Snow Day!
We got a pretty big winter storm through the Northeast last week bringing around 10 inches of snow to the city. It’s been a few years since we’ve had any significant snowfall. In fact, the past couple years it’s barely snowed at all! And after such a stressful year, it was nice to set it all aside for a minute and go enjoy a snow day in Central Park!

We walked over to the park just as the last of the snow was falling. It was so fun to see the place we’ve spent so much time this year in a totally different way with a fresh blanket of pristine snow! We walked south towards the Great Lawn, stopping to admire some of the snowmen people had already built along the way.

You could feel the collective energy in the park was one of excitement. Almost as if everything that’s happened this year was buried under the snow and forgotten about. At least until the snow melts and we have to go back to reality. There were tons of kids (and adults!) sledding down the giant hill behind the MET. A giant snowball fight was being organized on the Great Lawn. Among it all we built mini snowmen, made snow angels, and had our own fun frolicking through the snow.

We enjoyed the magic of snowy Central Park until we couldn’t feel our fingers and toes. Cold and weary, we trudged back to our apartment, peeling off the wet layers covered in snow, and warmed up with steaming mugs of hot chocolate. Wrapped up in a blanket, reliving the fun through the photos captured, we never want to forget the fun we had this day.
