Our Time In Vermont
When we planned our trip to Lake Placid a few weeks ago, we knew we wanted to fly into Vermont and spend some time there. We have been to Vermont before and it is one of our favorite states. We flew into Burlington, Vermont which is actually a city we had never been to before. We landed bright and early in the morning and headed to downtown Burlington for some breakfast.
We had an amazing meal at Penny Cluse Cafe. I couldn’t decide between the biscuits and gravy and the gingerbread pancakes so I got both. I’m honestly very proud of that decision. Since it was still so early, we decided to take a little walk over to Lake Champlain and just sat there for awhile. It was really peaceful. Once all the stores were open we headed back over to Church Street Marketplace to do a little shopping.

We’ve never been to an orchard on a week day, so it was nice because it wasn’t super crowded. We looked at pumpkins, apple cider donuts, and had the BEST honeycrisp apples we have ever had in our entire lives! They were awesome!

It was a fun little surprise, and something we had never experienced before.

This little town is one of our favorites of all time. We always stop at the Cold Hollow Cider Mill, the Cabot Cheese Store, and the Ben & Jerry’s Factory. Each stop is full of snacks, but they are totally worth it.

We had never been here before, so it was a treat for us. We did their cider tasting and tried all ten of them. We are not huge beer drinkers, so cider is our jam. We loved being able to taste them all, and walked away with some favorites. There are a lot of non-traditional flavors, so you just need to try them out for yourself!
