I’ve spent the past few days changing over my closet from spring/summer to fall/winter. I may be jumping the gun just a tad, as glancing at the weather forecast it’s supposed to hit 80 over the next week, but I’m just ready for the change. I’m ready for cozy sweaters, scarves and my favorite booties. In doing this though, I am sure to set aside those pieces that work for both seasons. Those pieces that work on their own during spring/summer, but with a few tweaks and some layering also work for fall/winter. If I’m going to splurge on a cute cocktail dress, it needs to be something I see myself wearing multiple times in multiple ways. There are so many things I love about this dress. First and foremost, it has pockets! That in itself sold me, ha ha. But the silhouette, the flouncy bottom, and versatile but distinctive floral print are all things that attracted me to this dress. I’ve taken this one dress and styled it two ways.
Styled with a statement earring, clutch, and some heels this dress is appropriate for a late summer/early fall wedding or even just a fancy date night.
Earrings are old from Kendra Scott, these are similar or love these too | Dress | Clutch is old from Coach, similar options here or here | Shoes
To take it into fall, with a slightly more casual look, add a hat and a cardigan and switch the clutch out for cute satchel like this one. If the weather is chilly, add some tights (these are great and cheap!).
Hat | Earrings | Sweater | Dress | Bag | Tights | Shoes

This is such a lovely post! I personally love dresses with black tights all year haha.. so you would see me in outfit two more often 🙂
