There Might Be More Skirts In Our Future
When I was in high school and college I really experimented with my fashion. I would try out all sorts of different outfits and honestly probably stood out with some pretty bad ones. Since graduating and working from home I don’t experiment very much. My wardrobe consists of mostly jeans, sweaters, leggings, and Madewell Tees. I am also a pro at Athleisure. Comfort has been key for us lately.

I want to get back to that mindset. I didn’t care what anyone thought, and I wore what made me happy. Even though I have a degree in fashion, that term is a little misleading. I have a business degree in fashion. My classes were all about crunching numbers and variables and excel! I obviously have a slightly more than basic knack for style, but still. I don’t picture myself as this major fashionista that everyone looks too, or if I was I was oblivious too it.
Recently I have been walking into stores and thinking “Ugh am I too old to be shopping here?” How horrible is that feeling? My mom used to ask me that question all the time. My response to her was always “Of course not! If you want to wear these clothes just wear them!” It sounds like I need to take some of my own advice.

I got so many compliments on it, and that honestly made me feel so good. But do you know what was even better? I felt comfortable in this outfit, and it brought me back to a few years ago. I didn’t want to take it off, and I felt a little bit of my old self come back to me. That is the kind of fashion that I’m into. Something that makes you feel good. What more could anyone ask for? So this is me, Stepping Out Of My Style Comfort Zone.
